DECEMBER DRINK/DRUG DRIVING TESTS

Now it’s December, and the festive season has started, we are continuing our year-round work to keep the roads as safe as possible by testing all suspected drug or drink drivers.

If you’ve ever wondered how we test for drugs at the roadside, we use drug wipes which just need a small sample of saliva to test for traces of common drugs.

If we suspect someone is driving under the influence of drugs, we can also perform a blood test back at one of our custody suites.
